Our take on this manufacturer
Modern House reports over 10 years of team experience and involvement in building more than 500 timber-frame houses in Sweden. This figure refers to the managers’ and builders’ previous work, rather than homes built solely by the current Latvian company.
The range covers modular homes, timber frame family houses and semi-detached homes. Visit the Sigulda factory to see show homes and discuss layouts and finishes.
In an interview, company director Helvijs Ervalds describes a practical quality check: customers are invited to attend the house’s airtightness test. Any air leaks found are fixed before the interior and facade finishes are added. Buyers can see the test for themselves while the structure is still accessible.
We would consider Modern House for its experienced team when the budget allows for a premium home. It is less likely to be the first option if keeping the initial cost as low as possible is the priority.
