Our take on this manufacturer
MyCabin began with Ģirts Draugs wanting to build a holiday home for himself. That idea grew into a company that has been operating since 2020 and also sells homes abroad. You can visit the factory and show homes in Jelgava.
In 2023, a Merito Partners fund invested €1.55 million in the company’s growth, initially acquiring a 30% stake. By May 2025, a Merito fund’s holding had risen to 94.87%, while the founder continued in management as a minority shareholder.
The range centres on established house models with Nordic-inspired design, natural materials and bright rooms. Building the same models repeatedly helps speed up production: in a May 2026 interview, production manager Mārtiņš Ošs said that a house with a 47 m² footprint takes around 12 working days to manufacture. That is production time, rather than the full period from placing an order to receiving the house.
Prices are on the higher side and customisation is very limited. We would suggest MyCabin when one of the existing models already fits your needs without major changes.
